Duval County Public Schools’ Extended Day Enrichment Program provides before and/or after school childcare services at seventy-three school elementary sites and twenty secondary sites throughout Duval County.

The Medical Assistant course prepares students to take the national certification exam to become a certified Medical Assistant(MA). Medical Assistants perform clinical duties and some administrative duties under the direction of a physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, taking EKGs, and administering medication(e.g. flu shots) as directed by a physician. 8 weeks of class work on campus. 4 weeks of clinical off campus. $475.00 due to the Instructor along with $155.00 exam fee.(cash or credit) Books, study guide and materials are provided.
